Description

iNovex offers a practical approach to accelerating aerospace manufacturing through digital traceability and integration along the supply chain. Our approach improves manufacturing quality and speed as well as sustainment operations of weapon systems while reducing cost and supply chain risk and improving safety. We implement a Semantic Digital Thread to address challenges related to design trade-offs, data interoperability along the supply chain, root cause analysis, and others as they apply to customer, OEM, and manufacturing supplier interaction. We implement this solution through a real-world representative use case related to co-design with manufacturing at suppliers including definition of relevant datasets like part geometries, manufacturing process data, and as-built inspection data alongside simulated service workflows between OEMs and Suppliers. We use a free and open-source semantic knowledge graph platform built on open industry standards as the foundation for our manufacturing and sustainment capability, developing an extensible framework that avoids common issues present in traditional data lake, data warehousing, and microservice approaches.
