Description
In response to the Navy SBIR Topic N201-013, IRGLARE is pleased to propose the development of highly reliable (lifetime over 1,000h) Band IVa (3.9 to 4.1µm) Quantum Cascade Lasers (QCLs) delivering continuous wave (CW) optical power exceeding 5W in a nearly Gaussian output beam (M2 < 1.5) with wallplug efficiency exceeding 15%. The improvement in CW efficiency will be achieved for these devices employing multi-material active region composition, while their long term reliability at 5W will be ensured by reducing optical peak intensity at the output facet.
