Description
On the Phase I SBIR program for cast replacements on a TF34 FCOC, Sintavia and partners discovered that the TF34 Fuel Cooled Oil Cooler (NSN: 2935010370494/160064-1-1) has seen drastic increases in the purchase price and lead time for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) in recent history. Under the Phase II effort, it is expected the proposal team will begin the supply chain effort to manufacture fully qualified TF34 FCOCs. To be successful in the design, manufacture, and qualification of flight-ready TF34 FCOCs several tasks must be accomplished. These tasks will incorporate understanding the legacy TF34 FCOC assembly and TDP, manufacturing cast geometries using additive manufacturing (includes design for additive manufacturing of the original geometries), assembly of TF34 FCOCs with full qualification of all components, and the full assembly.
