Description
With recent large-scale cyberattacks, it is clear that current cybersecurity methods are too vulnerable, requiring constant attention to bolster the weakest link in the system. A novel approach is needed -- one founded on the extraordinary security of seL4 on a security-enhanced RISC-V processor. This groundbreaking combination would provide the strengths of isolation and monitoring as well as rigorous assurance of that design across the entire computing system software-hardware stack. Furthermore, productionizing the system, including maturing and broadening the seL4 ecosystem (e.g., development of software layers, libraries, and tools for RISC-V), will improve usability, increase market adoption, and make real-world implementations practical.
