Description

We propose the development of an Intelligent Digital Thread Composer (IDTC). IDTC will help build and deploy a Smart Model Repository (SMR). IDTC will enable multidisciplinary, multiorganization teams to easily discover, assemble and exercise artifacts. By simplifying component, system, mission and theater-level simulations, IDTC will reduce costs and improve agility. By enabling multidomain, multi-entity System-of-Systems simulations, IDTC will support programs such as Air Battle Management System (ABMS). IDTC will help achieve additional objectives such as Semantic Model, Annotation and Reasoning Technologies (SMART). IDTC will leverage cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data and cloud computing to build the SMR. IDTC will structure the knowledge in the SMR using multidimensional ontologies and metadata schemas. AI semantic search engine will be integrated to provide artifact discovery across technical jargons. AI deep learning models will evaluate suitability of any artifact for an analytical objective. Adaptive SMR curation and management tools will be implemented that automatically ingest and annotate artifacts, and provide secure access to them. All innovations will be integrated into a robust, cloud-capable and DoD security compliant toolset. Inspird has teamed with the University of Illinois, Chicago (UIC) to successfully develop IDTC. Inspird has a decade long history of developing and commercializing complex technologies. UIC is a world leader in ML. UIC also has significant publications and ongoing efforts in IDTC relevant technologies. Together we have the expertise and track record to successfully deliver on the proposed effort.
