Description
SURVIVR is aligned with the USAF’s needs, advancing efforts to equip all soldiers with a virtual reality training system to assist in training and assessing skills. SURVIVR offers a highly intuitive virtual reality (VR) simulation, capable of providing soldiers with first-hand combat experience prior to confronting them in the field. The VR system is adaptable to individual skill levels and compatible with current weapon systems. Existing training involving classroom lessons or live-action (actors) simulations are unrealistic, lacking “time and decision pressure” present in law enforcement encounters, expensive, and time-consuming. SURVIVR’s VR provides accessible first responder training, realistic scenarios, customizable real-world locations, multi-user capabilities, responsive non-human characters, and realistic firearm, all while using commercial off-the-shelf hardware. Comprehensive analytics are available upon completion of the scenario, detailing performance metrics unobservable by a typical human trainer.
