Description

Adaptive Dynamics Inc. (ADI) is an SBIR funded company that has developed highly effective, computationally efficient, low insertion loss and low latency (<10µs) interference mitigation (IM) algorithms that can be implemented in FPGAs to improve communications resilience in contested/degraded operationally relevant interference (ORI) environments and demonstrated in hardware for transition into the MIDS Program Of Record (PoR) terminal.ADI’s effort will include a detailed comparative analysis of its existing algorithms and introduce two new powerful IM algorithms, accompanied by simulations and FPGA build synthesis estimates of the computational requirements for each algorithm. The new IM algorithms will mitigate two interference types which have been identified by the govt as being very detrimental to the SOI performance.ADI’s existing IM algorithms are mature (TRL7/8) and will demonstrate significant IM performance benefit during software and hardware simulation, prototyping, and testing and will allow the simultaneous output of the signal of interest and the ORI.IM algorithm parameters and status indicators will be identified and developed that will be used for a future link layer algorithm and within the terminal that allow for trades to be made between adversarial and friendly nodes to preserve interconnectivity and data dissemination capability and maximize link throughput.
