Description

In order to support operational objectives for readiness across the vast PACOM area of responsibility, Commander Pacific Fleet (COMPACFLT) requires improved visibility into the availability of parts and other material. While a wide range of logistics systems from multiple DoD agencies provide data on material from supplier to on-hand inventory, critical gaps exist in tracking material while in transit and aboard afloat vessels. Premier Solutions HI LLC has already developed a manual process for extracting key material availability data from various systems currently being used by COMPACFLT. Leveraging a commercially available logistics software framework , PSHI will design an automated process that can fuse material availability status from multiple sources to present inventory in transit to users in a secure, role-based, and near-real-time information system. The system will have the capability to present geographic location and inventory status via the secure java framework utilized in PACOM’s DCSS-J-based Logistics Common Operating Picture (LOGCOP). Ultimately, the Fleet Material Locator Information System will provide key capabilities sought by COMPACFLT and US Fleet Forces Command in the next generation Naval Operational Supply System.
