Description
Today, robot training is done by specialists, and can cost 5-times more than the robot itself. So, despite the promise of operational streamlining and efficiency, robots are not implemented as often as they should be. Southie Autonomy has created a solution - software that allows users to quickly and inexpensively train a robot via simple gestures and vocal commands. Users simply explain to the robot what work needs to be done and Southie’s novel robot AI platform, The Magic Wand, creates a program for the robot to follow. No coding or engineering is necessary. Robotic automation for low-value tasks like emptying parts off of a pallet or assembling meal kits can be setup and changed over in a matter of minutes with the same people that would otherwise be doing this work. The Wand makes flexible automation easy and upskills workers.
