Description

USAF Special Tactics and Battlefield Airmen Pararescue (PJs) medics have no reliable way to remotely consult with a Doctor or transmit critical patient data from the field to a higher echelon of care. The VER telemedicine platform solves these problems, providing the ability to conduct a complete virtual exam of a patient anywhere on the globe while simultaneously transmitting and storing the diagnostic data. With some additional COTS modifications requested by existing AF PJ customers, the VER can become a complete Critical Care Platform. In tight collaboration with Air Force partners and internal customers and to help enable full-spectrum readiness, Remote Health Solutions (RHS) will seek to validate the deployment approach for a new version of its product line: the Virtual Exam Room – Critical Care Platform (VER-CCP). Enhancements to the existing COTS VER devices were requested by AF PJs in order to provide additional critical care capability for trauma patients, enhance overall AF MedEvac capability, and capture/store patient data remotely. The existing VER device line is Technology Readiness Level 9 and has been well-received by the PJ community. See attached Letter of Support from NGB/A5X Battlefield Airmen Branch for further validation of this technology in solving AF problems.
