Description
Synclesis, Inc., and the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (UIUC), under a Phase I and II STTR project, have developed a novel software framework for computationally efficient and accurate Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) analysis and assessment at the system level. The framework integrates commercially available full wave electromagnetic (EM), circuit simulation, and approximate, physics-based computational codes with a stochastic analysis methodology to efficiently assess the effects of EMI (whether intentional or non-intentional) on electrical circuits and functional blocks inside large, complex systems. This generic framework supports multi-scale material and geometric complexity in addition to system, configuration, and device variability and uncertainty. With our framework, one can predict the probability that an EM source will impact system performance at the circuit-level.
