Description
We are currently designing a next generation radiation-hardened MCU based on the ARM Cortex-M4 CPU. The MCU was defined in response to requirements that were gathered from a significant number of US Government and commercial aerospace customers who are familiar with VORAGO’s existing VA10800 rad-hard MCU based upon the ARM Cortex-M0. Our objective is to qualify the radiation hardened ARM Cortex-M4 as quickly as possible to provide a QML-V level device that offers flight readiness for US Government and commercial aerospace customers. The schedule of the SBIR project aligns very well with when we expect to tape out the design into the fab and receive wafers back to start qualification work. In phase I, we propose to provide a detailed test and qualification plan. We will also create load boards for testing and create burn-in boards for qualification. In phase II, we propose to fully qualify the radiation hardened ARM Cortex-M4 MCU to QML-V.
