Description
The United States Navy has identified a need for a tool to assist the training of Landing SignalOfficers (LSOs) that provides visualization and analysis of data from embarked carrier landings.BGI, LLC (BGI) has proposed a solution for training LSOs by leveraging the existing CarrierVisualization After-Action Review (AAR) product to create a Landing Signal Officer-DataAnalysis Toolkit (LSO-DAT) that will allow LSO trainers to perform data analysis, visualizationand produce data reports that could help inform and develop more accurate, real world modelsbased on objective data. The main focus of this paper discusses the technical objectives tocreating an LSO-DAT by enhancing the automated performance measurement and assessment ofcarrier landings that BGI has developed in previous iterations. Further, this paper discusses thedeliverables and estimated cost to create the LSO-DAT to satisfy the Navy’s pressing need.
