Description
The Aerial Reconfigurable Embedded System (ARES)allowsalarge payload to beindependently configured to meet themission needs. This PhaseIIeffort will develop amission payload for use on the DARPA ARES Technology Demonstrator fora Casualty Evacuation (CASEVAC) Module. Under thiseffort the PiAC team willevaluatetheexisting pod structureto assess theintegration ofasinglelitter,medical crew personneland thestate of theart medicalequipment provided by Telemedicineand Advanced Technology Research Center (TATRC). This CASEVACmodulecan beseparated from theaircraft to allow afaster turnaround. In case ofcontamination, themodulecan betreated separately from the ARES flight module. Themodule willalso be designed to allow personnel to decontaminateitafterarecovery. Thiseffort completes the design,analysisand integration tasks for themedicalequipmentand any provisions for follow on PhaseIII flight testing. This effort willalso includemodal test of thefullyassembled pod to verifyanalysis. The CASEVACmodule will beinstrumented to monitor the systems duringground testingand plan for follow on flight testinginstrumentation.
