Description
The technical objective of this effort is to design and build a set of Unattended Radiation Detection Systems to satisfy multiple end-users and environments. From the detector landscape survey and testing results achieved in Phase I, there are three suitable node configurations being proposed for further development. Each node spiral will consist of end-user interviews and operational testing to determine the next iteration of design. The goal is to have final designs of systems that can be rapidly deployed, easily integrated and operated, and function in a variety of applications. The main focus will be creating universal mechanical designs and software/communication systems. This will allow the interoperability of internal components and data integration and give an end-user a larger choice offering. The expected outcome is a set of commercially viable products that can be used for a variety of detection requirements, power solutions, and integration levels.
