Description
Even though the Hardware Open Systems Technologies (HOST) standard was created to solve hardware component interoperability and portability problems, there are still integration challenges. Currently, system integration efforts are unique to each platform and labor intensive, and involve multi-vendor hardware combinations over a systems lifecycle. Using our expertise in modeling and simulation, software development, and gap analysis, SimVentions proposes to build an interactive, analytic tool set named HOST Hardware Integration Tool Set (HHITS). Through an interactive graphical user interface, the tool will display HOST conformant components, identify potential integration issues, and mitigate any issues by searching for available alternative components based on user specified parameters. HHITS will also offer a HOST component metadata repository that supports the creation, storage, and search capabilities of available assets.
