Description

This proposal describes “Ovid”, a tool for use in a software development environment that will discover variances in software source code from an organization’s defined coding standards and optionally allow the end-user to address these variances on an item by item basis.  Ovid seeks to augment existing tools from the open-source community with customizations that provide for interactive addressing of variant source code while also allowing the tool to be utilized in a DevSecOps pipeline environment.  Finally, Ovid introduces and defines an XML standard for coding standards that does not currently exist.
