Description
ABSTRACT:Goals of this Autofoveation Sensor Technology (AFOST) small camera/algorithm effort are to continue to optimize on FPA automated tiling/autofoveation processing merge closed loop processing performance with the aid of near sensor processors. We will provide a path toward larger format sensors for small platforms.The potential for high resolution compact sensors on small platforms along with the advent of 3 Dimensional stacked ROIC based IR Focal Plane Arrays drives a future requirement for more advanced sensors with integrated guidance and track processing on or near the FPA.BENEFIT:Develop advanced technique in automated IR image foveation. such as:Target detection using autofoveation and implement algorithms to detect objects under motion and jittering conditions such as what exists in moving platforms.Software to simultaneously display the region of interest (ROI) fovea and full frame binary target data or standard 14 bit video data.
