Description
ABSTRACT:This program develops technology that can be embedded with mil-avionic transceiver to create built-in-test functionality. These features test the transceiver itself (the operating conditions, such a temperature, voltage and valid I/O signals) and the fiber cable plant for transmission loss, return loss and optical time domain reflectometer.BENEFIT:The commercial sector is embedding fiber optic transceivers with in data center racks with 100's to 1000's of fibers. This technology would enable rapid deployment and maintenance of fiber optic systems.
