Description
Progeny proposes to build off of existing Situational Awareness literature to create an objective, quantifiable Situational Awareness metric. The metric will utilize existing models on Situational Awareness, team mental models and other similar constructs. In addition to creating and validating a Situational Awareness model of C2 systems. Progeny will utilize cognitive monitoring hardware to measure the cognitive loading on Sailors. When used in conjunction with the Situational Awareness model a cohesive and quantitative assessment of Sailors as well as systems is possible. Progeny will work with the Sponsor to create a capability where Sailors can be trained to perform better in all complex tasks requiring Situational Awareness.
