Description
Cobalt proposes 5G-Scout, a flexible system which can survey local 5G networks, anywhere in the world, collect L1-L3 indicators to measure the cybersecurity risk of each 5G network, and provide “go/no-go” indicators to use a 5G network. Our approach leverages Cobalt’s 5G sensor platform with built-in real-time passive L1-L3 processing capability, and leading protocol-based 5G vulnerability detection frameworks such as PHOENIX. In this Phase I effort, we will work with ONR to establish a system concept based on the above approach, and rapidly assess the feasibility of building a prototype device which can detect attacks and threats in an expeditionary setting.
