Description
We propose the development of an Intelligent Digital Thread Composer (IDTC). IDTC will help the DoD build a Digital Thread (DT) that becomes an authoritative source of truth. DT will enable communities of technologists, engineers, analysts and decision-makers effectively access and exercise models. IDTC will leverage cutting-edge technologies such as Machine Learning (ML), big data and cloud computing to build the DT. IDTC will be tool agnostic and help teams conduct a wide variety of modeling and simulation (M&S) – from individual simulations to mission analysis at theater-level. IDCT will integrate all types of artifacts: data, reports, models, code, test protocols, contracts, reviews, decisions, etc. IDTC will consistently classify and organize artifacts across programs and manage the configuration of the DT. IDTC will allow non-technical users easily search and discover artifacts and build them into assemblies. IDTC will provide traceability of artifact provenance and evolution through program lifecycle through efficient curation of the authoritative data source.
