- Award intensity — firms with 10+ SBIR/STTR awards over a multi-year window are often heavily SBIR-dependent.
- Federal dependency % — when non-SBIR federal contract dollars are available from USASpending, we show SBIR as a share of SBIR + other federal contracts.
