Description
The proposed SBIR multi-phase project will involve the enhancement of Kaney’s smart servo technology actuators to enable general purpose, reusable, low-cost adaptation into flight surface control systems for (1) legacy air platforms, addressing obsolescence issues through aftermarket supply; (2) future air platforms including unmanned systems. Kaney’s project is targeted towards significant enhancement of Kaney’s existing smart servo technology actuators to enable general purpose, reusable, low-cost adaptation into flight surface control systems for legacy and future platforms. During Phase I, Kaney, Inc. will identify AF customers to develop top-level requirements for servo actuators with unparalleled reliability (based on our current products in flight) to help improve the USAF’s supply chain quality and costs for legacy platforms. Our technology is expected to significantly enhance transition speed and rapid prototyping/fielding capabilities for smart flight control systems.
