Description
To overcome the limitations, costs, and risks associated with built in place wooden platforms, Hy-Tek Manufacturing Co. Inc. herein proposes an innovative approach to drastically increase the capabilities of raised platforms used for expeditionary shelters on forward operating bases. This approach involves the development of a Modular Expeditionary Platform System (MEPS). HMCs proposed MEPS concept is intended as a cost effective replacement to the currently used raised wooden platforms, which when deployed, will significantly reduce the costs the logistical burdens associated with transporting construction materials needed for specialized construction of FOB shelter platforms. MEPS will providing the American warfighter with a reliable, stable shelter platform that is easily constructed, level adjustable, insulated and reusable. The innovative geometry and design of this interlocking platform system will facilitate expeditious construction of forward operating base shelters at significantly lower cost than currently possible while improving the quality of life of forward operating base residents.
