Description

To address the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) needs for 3D printing technology for the medical supply chain, Interlog Corporation proposes to develop a new Hybridized Additive Manufacturing for Medical Equipment (HAMME) technology enabling to build multiple material equipment/supplies in a single platform. The HAMME is based on a unique, precision instantaneous energy generation mechanism providing multifold extrusion of metal, ceramic, and polymer materials simultaneously as a holistic system solution. The HAMME quickly and easily constructs multiple-material medical structures/components with a very strong bond and with precision at the sub-millimeter level. In Phase I, Interlog Corporation will demonstrate HAMMEs feasibility as a hybridized 3D printing system. We will design the preliminary architecture and the performance measures. Key designs and tests will be performed on hardware and software. In Phase II, we will produce an HAMME prototype and demonstrate the functional capability on individual material classes and integrated material classes.
