Description

One of the greatest threats to an injured warfighter is infection. Exposure to dangerous pathogens carries a life-threatening risk, but it can also have severe morbidity consequences including sepsis, amputation, lengthy hospital stays and years of battling the infection. Field injuries are especially at risk, where dirt, shreds of the soldier’s clothing and other debris can infiltrate the wound in seconds. KeriCure's spray on wound care products have application at every level of wound care, from immediate use via the buddy system or self-administration in prolonged field care, to hospital and long term care facilities for post debridement wound care. Our hydrogel style spray on antibacterial wound dressing provides an immediate solution in the field that can prevent complications and warfighter loss of life. KeriCure’s patented nanopolymer technology affords a water-based spray on dressing that is moisturizing, employs broad spectrum nanosilver that is adept at killing gram positive and negative bacteria, resistant bacteria including MRSA, and fungi, and provides immediate pain relief with incorporated lidocaine to ease local pain during healing. With drug resistance rampant in areas of the world where our forces are deployed, it is critical to have a solution that is not susceptible to resistance and can address any pathogen present in the wound. KeriCure’s Advanced Shield Wound Barrier Plus Pain Relief fills this need and provides a breathable, moisture retentive, elastic barrier that covers and protects the wound throughout the healing process.
