Description

GPS and GNSS navigation based systems are extremely vulnerable to signal interference. Satellite Navigation, including European Union’s Galileo system, the Chinese BeiDou system, Russia’s - GLONASS, Japan’s Quasi-Zenith Satellite System - QZSS, and the Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System – IRNSS, will be transmitting over 1000 signals from more than 150 satellites. Military receivers of the future may benefit from having the flexibility to adapt to these GNSS systems / signals to increase satellite and signal diversity, improve satellite visibility, increased resiliency in a jammer/interference environment, and enhanced signal assurance (resistance to spoofing). The objective of this SBIR effort is to develop a high-performance antenna electronics (AE) solution to provide simultaneous Quad band anti-jam (AJ) capability for GNSS signals at L5 (1176.45MHz) and E6 (1278.75MHz), in addition to currently available L1 (1575.42MHz) and L2 (1227.60MHz) bands. The AJ objective is to provide at least 35 dB of jamming suppression against 6 jammers or interference signals consisting of broadband noise, CW, pulsed CW, swept CW, and/or matched spectral that span the bandwidths of the signals of interest. The proposed Mayflower Q-GAAS solution will provide simultaneous GPS/GNSS Quad-band AJ nulling protection of the L1, L2, L5, and E6 GPS/GNSS bands.
