Description

Civilian Casualties better known as CIVCAS, is the bane of Law Enforcement Agencies, Security Forces and other combat forces who engage with a potential threat and make incorrect use of force decision making processes. This is due mainly to insufficient and non-realistic training.  MVP Robotics develops robotic training solutions to improve human safety and performance in austere environments.  MVP’s Humanoid Engageable Kinetic Training Robot (HEKTR) is a live-fire humanoid target that moves with the speed and agility of an NFL player.   Air Force Security Forces Center has a mission need for a solution that reinforces appropriate use-of-force decision pathways in a real-life environment. New innovative capabilities based on MVP’s HEKTR robotic target platform will enable Defender readiness and operational deployment. Proposed development includes a Motion-Capable Target Arm (MCTA) to positively identify hostile intent, Non-Lethal Projectile type Target (NLPT) to enable reactive robotic training with Simunitions and other training rounds, advanced materials armoring to mitigate spall and ricochet, and After-Action Review capability from an adversarial perspective. This capability set will create a training tool with unparalleled realism, unlike anything available on the market, that will directly challenge critical decision-action cycles for both AFSFC and non-DoD Law Enforcement Agencies.
