RADIABEAM TECHNOLOGIES, LLC — Department of Defense SBIR Phase II: DTRA08-001
RADIABEAM TECHNOLOGIES, LLC — SBIR Phase II award from Department of Defense.
Phase II SBIR prototype / development signal
- Phase II is where Department of Defense funds deeper R&D after feasibility. Incumbents with Phase II history are serious competitors on adjacent topics.
- Use this award as past-performance context and to map customer organizations for STRATFI/TACFI-style transition planning.
- At $1,847,339, this is a large obligation for typical SBIR Phase sizing — worth reviewing for scope breadth and teaming opportunity.
- Topic code DTRA08-001 links this award to a solicitation family — search the same topic stem for incumbents and recompete timing.

Description
This proposal is a continuation of the effort to develop a tunable, directional, and intense gamma-ray laser-like source, which can be realized in a compact topology and deployed for a wide range of civilian and defense applications. Specifically this project is focused on commissioning novel split geometry distributed coupling high gradient C-band linac as a driver for the Inverse Compton Scattering source. The l00 MeV linac module will be fabricated, conditioned, assembled, tested, and commissioned, powered by the novel hybrid photoinjector to achieve the electron beam of unprecedented brightness.
