XL SCIENTIFIC LLC — Department of Defense STTR Phase I: N22A-T006

XL SCIENTIFIC LLC — STTR Phase I award from Department of Defense.

Phase I STTR feasibility signal

  • Phase I awards fund proof-of-concept work. For capture teams, they mark early interest from Department of Defense in a technical approach.
  • Watch for Phase II follow-ons from the same firm/topic family — that conversion path is where budgets and transition pressure rise.
  • Obligated amount $137,888. Cross-check similar awards in the same agency and technology tags for going-rate context.
  • Topic code N22A-T006 links this award to a solicitation family — search the same topic stem for incumbents and recompete timing.

Description

Verus Research is pleased to respond to the Navy STTR topic N22A-T006, “Modeling Platform Level Electromagnetic Compatibility Performance Based on Component Level Testing” with our proposal to build a modeling and simulation (M&S) tool – the Platform-level Electromagnetic Compatibility Simulator (PECS) – for comprehensive electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) analysis to model the susceptibility/vulnerability response of electronic systems based on component-level radiated test data and physical layout of components in the system.  This effort will leverage our existing Directed Radio-frequency Energy Assessment Model generation 2 (DREAM2) M&S tool to add spatial representation and physical system three-dimensional (3D) layout definitions to each scenario.  We will develop an automated interface to existing simulation tools for cavity coupling, circuit equivalence, mode matching, and stochastic cavity models, and interface with advanced computational electromagnetic (CEM) full-wave solvers for high-fidelity propagation analysis in complex 3D environments.
