Description

To improve the mobile application development and deployment mechanisms for the Air Force’s Business Enterprise Systems Programming INnovation (BESPIN) program, we propose prototyping two minimum viable products (MVPs): Mobile Delivery-as-a-Service (MDaaS) - Securing a platform that has a continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline and the tools and governance for distributed development by airmen developers, both experienced and novice. Mobile Device Management (MDM) or Technical Equivalent - Enabling use of these and other applications on the personal mobile devices of airmen and women. The exploration and solutioning for these areas are critical in improving on-the-job user experience (shown to improve job satisfaction and retention) and supporting the creative power of people with innovative solutions to real-world Air Force problems. To accomplish these objectives, Team Clarity, comprising Clarity Innovation (Clarity) as prime and Akamai as mobile SME, will perform the following high-level tasks: Perform Environmental Discovery Establish Governance Build Out CI/CD Pipeline for Mobile (Android) Establish MDM or Technical Equivalent for Development Establish Mobile Security Baseline for USAF Provide Developer Support and Training Documentation
