Description
GridRaster’s objective for the Phase II effort is to research the CV-22 requirements, develop a prototype of AR Tool Set (ARTS) and underlying infrastructure, test and evaluate the system’s ability to facilitate repair and maintenance of CV-22 engine nacelle that also adheres to RMF guidelines and has highest potential for future transition. The prototype will enable CV-22 maintainers to troubleshoot, repair and train far more efficiently in the operational environment. To develop the proposed solution for U.S. AF, the current non-defense commercial solution will need key adaptations to obtain TRL 8 with an actual system completed and qualified through test and demonstration. The AR Tool Set application and infrastructure will need to be configured to work with military specifications. A method of integration into U.S.AF and DOD operational networks will need to be determined. 3D models of the environment need to be developed and train specific CAD models with training data. Adaptations to the software application and infrastructure will be needed to specifically support the CV-22 engine nacelle wiring. Team GridRaster will obtain Air Force parameters and demonstrate efficacy for end-users. Obtain feedback and conduct non-recurring engineering (NRE). Perform demonstration incorporating the NRE adaptations for AF end-users. – AFSOC.
