Description
Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT), with support from the Air Force F-16 SPO and 309th SMXG Software Maintenance Group propose to apply virtualization to increase the fidelity of the F-16 virtual SIL for real-time embedded HW & SW, and then leverage and apply IDT’s non-defense commercial automated test and analysis solution to automatically test and assess new pre and post block F-16 tactical software performance. The non-defense commercial solution is based on IDT’s patented method referred to as Automated Test and Re-Test (ATRT) which incorporates a sophisticated digital approach to Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Automated Test and Analysis (ATA). In addition to the current manual and limited automated test and certification process being both lengthy and costly, the reporting of objective evidence on F-16 software builds across all blocks and variants to AF stakeholders is not readily available. The proposed solution has been demonstrated as highly feasible to meet the goals and address the shortcomings of current test, analysis, and certification processes. IDT and the F-16 SPO and 309th SMXG are eager to present this proposal to create a usable minimum viable product (MVP) that supports the vision of migrating the Virtual SIL and automation to the Platform One Cloud.
