Description
Pendar will address the unmet need for affordable and reliable high-power MWIR Quantum Cascade Laser (QCL) sources for in the 3.8-4.2 microns spectral region which due to its high atmospheric transmission is critical for many DoD applications. Besides performance improvements, Pendar will address the reliability and manufacturing concerns that exist for QCL technology more generally. The goal is to reduce cost and increase lifetime for mid-infrared semiconductor lasers by advancing device design and fabrication & testing procedures.
