Description

The growing use of small satellites to carry out military missions makes it essential that new lower size, weight, power and cost sensors be developed to provide space domain awareness (SDA) data so that the satellites can be protected to carry out their missions.  Incorporating multiple SDA phenomenologies into a single sensor with a common data interface will provide cost savings to satellite programs for integration and software development.  The proposed effort will combine SDA data and space weather monitoring into a single payload with the plan to implement this in a cubesat-compatible format for a Phase II demonstration.
