Description
Skylark's solution transforms the Air Force’s logistical capabilities by providing true high-speed broadband internet in both stateside and contingency locations. Skylark's full-stack 5G Massive Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) solution provides unprecedented range and performance, guaranteeing tactical ground operators fast, uninterrupted communication and access to mission critical data. Skylark has identified the AFSOC community as a key customer fit and is already in discussions with AFSOC’s innovation team. Where existing technologies would require dozens of towers, a single tower with Skylark's solution can serve thousands of military users over hundreds of square miles with an order of magnitude better coverage and capacity. Moreover, Skylark's platform is software-defined and frequency-agile, allowing it to use any spectrum that is available, internationally, and can be easily upgraded and adapted. Their commercial focus is high-speed, long-range, non-line of sight (NLoS), point to multipoint (PmP) connectivity, with our initial focus on the digital divide (rural and remote broadband). Skylark’s solution provides the situational awareness ground operators need in austere locations, while also lowering the possibility of tangle hazards to AFSOC operators, which is a critical operator requirement. This will create secure long-range wireless networks that cannot be intercepted by creating a “bubble” of undetectable traffic, allowing the operator to focus on making quick decisions in life or death situations.
