Description
Solar Roadways is a modular intelligent infrastructure product which opens up a whole new market for the solar industry, allowing the generation of clean, renewable energy on roadways and any other surface that can be walked or driven upon. This includes parking lots, sidewalks, driveways, tarmacs, parade grounds, bike paths, playgrounds, sports courts, helipads, etc. This eliminates the need for collecting solar energy in large arrays in wild lands, which harms flora and fauna. Any energy facility which is centralized (solar array in the desert, nuclear power plant, coal plant etc.) is vulnerable to attack and terrorism. Solar Roadways, by its decentralized nature, offers significant national security benefits.
