Description

Currently, the Air Force lacks a structured and effective way to discover, curate, and reuse digital engineering artifacts. As such, it is challenging for the Air Force to find or reuse existing digital assets for existing or new systems and programs. The resulting lack of discovery and reuse leads to chronic duplication of engineering efforts, which wastes time and money. More subtly, assets that languish in obscurity don’t get improved, leading to an overall lower average asset quality.   The System Strategy, Inc proposal consists of 3 major objectives: Objective 1: Deliver AF Minimum Viable Product (MVP) The first objective is to use what we learned from our feasibility study and prototype development to create a Minimum Viable Product[i] (MVP) of the core mbX components. The MVP will be built using technologies to ensure we can mature into an enterprise-scale deployable solution. We will engage key AF stakeholders and demonstrate the MVP and its ability to help the AF Own the Tech Stack.   Objective 2: Develop and Refine Product for AF Alpha Release The second objective will mature the MVP to create a product Alpha Release, enhancing the digital wrapper and each of the product’s core components – including how to enter, manage, and browse digital assets.  It will also kick-off work on training materials and introduce automation. For this purpose, we will need to deepen the functionality and further enhance the solution’s infrastructure components.   Objective 3: Deliver AF Modular Feature Releases and Prepare for Commercialization Develop modular feature releases that demonstrate our product’s modular open system architecture and deployability with minimal change to existing Digital Engineering ecosystems.  Modular feature releases will allow for synergistic growth from both a digital asset publish and explore perspective. This objective also lays the foundation for the inclusion of augmented intelligence apps in the curation and management of digital assets.   [i] Ries, Eric.
