Description

In this  project, we will improve the DEET resistance and ambient air curability of our antifog coating, and test it for compliance with MIL-PRF-32432A requirements and provide 50+ sets of eyewear to the sponsor.  Modifications to improve DEET resistance should improve resistance to other chemicals such as bleach and JP-8/F-24 as well.  Testing will include antifog performance, ballistic resistance, chemical resistance, adhesion, abration, optical transmitance, chromaticity, and distortion, and ignition.  Antifog performance will be tested (and as necessary, improved) in response to contamination and cleaning cycles and temperature cycling.  All tests will be performed before and after temperature/humidity cycling and solarization as specificed in MIL-PRF-32432A.
