Description
This Phase IIB project will further develop, test, and refine the products developed as part of the associated Phase II effort. More specifically, this project will refine and expand the beta version of the casual carpooling mobile application (app) tested in the late stages of Phase II, further test and refine the app from a usability standpoint, and then pilot test the app with active casual carpoolers from one casual carpooling point of origin in Northern Virginia. During the field test, data will be collected during participant use of the app, and this data will be analyzed to understand participant use, behaviors, and acceptance of the app as well as to summarize casual carpooling activities and statistics (e.g., days/times/frequency of use, counts per line wait times, travel times).
