Description
During an unexpected crisis, modern logistics systems are challenged when operating across dispersed networks with limited or unreliable data sharing. From the Focus Area 1 description, there is an expressed need to fuse data from both physical systems and models to predict “system performance, logistical support, and maintenance needs”, which includes prognostic maintenance. Two main technical challenges are 1. data fusion over intermittent networks and 2. intelligent data processing and distribution. To address these issues, Canvass Labs Inc. will team with Erigo Technologies to build an open architecture, Digital Logistics for Navy (DigiLog-N), to augment the current man-in-the-loop logistics with easy-to-use and secure enterprise grade software components. Erigo Technologies brings decades of designing and developing network data fusion technologies; NASA SBIR funded these Open Source products, Cloud turbine (CT) and DataTurbine. Canvass Labs members have applied big data and AI technologies to wireless communication as engineers and researchers at Qualcomm Inc. and University of California at San Diego. Our innovation lies in the integration of the latest AI analytics technologies into remote monitoring applications. Our modular design can evolve with advancing technology trends in AI, wireless communication and wireless sensor networks.
