Description
We’ll define the best Virtual Reality (VR) training solutions that match the immediate and/or critical needs of Barksdale Air Force Base (BAFB). Modern recruits and technological advances require modern training and adaptation of these advances. VR offers endless options when it comes to training and testing military personnel. The gamification of military training operations has existed since the early 2000’s and stays on the cusp of technological advances by adopting things like VR or Augmented Reality as the technology becomes commercially viable and has proven success. Considered a form of immersive learning, VR Training is being widely adopted by leading Fortune 500 companies for mission critical use cases including safety, operational efficiency and customer service. These organizations have seen training times reduced by 40%, training scores surge by 10%, and the number of trainees feeling better prepared increase by 100%. As reported by Next.gov in 2017, DARPA already uses gamification through two separate communities; the US Department of Defenses' wargaming and Modeling and Simulation (M&S) units.
