Description
The Risk Management Framework (RMF) serves as the foundation for the Authority to Operate (ATO) process. While the RMF controls have been critical to ensuring the security of applications and networks, the process adds a significant delay in maintaining ATO for even rudimentary software updates. Through the integration and implementation of automated penetration testing services in follow-up to initial manual testing, the time and effort involved to continuously achieve ATO for newly deployed and/or updated Air Force applications and networks can be significantly reduced.
