DZYNE TECHNOLOGIES, LLC — SBIR Phase II award from Department of Defense.
Phase II SBIR prototype / development signal
- Phase II is where Department of Defense funds deeper R&D after feasibility. Incumbents with Phase II history are serious competitors on adjacent topics.
- Use this award as past-performance context and to map customer organizations for STRATFI/TACFI-style transition planning.
- At $1,612,434, this is a large obligation for typical SBIR Phase sizing — worth reviewing for scope breadth and teaming opportunity.
- Topic code AF192-D003 links this award to a solicitation family — search the same topic stem for incumbents and recompete timing.

Description
The Small Payload Precision Air-Launched Inexpensive Delivery System (SPPAIDS) is a low-cost air-deployable system designed to improve small-payload precision delivery capability at long standoff ranges. The purpose of this proposal is to develop, build, and demonstrate a functional prototype aircraft. Technology development will include the aero design and prototyping of the glider vehicle, mechanical design and testing of the shock attenuation method, software development to demonstrate precision landing, and material/manufacturing development to support rapid destructibility. Demand for a system to precisely deliver small payloads has been largely unmet in military and commercial applications. The SPPAIDS system will meet this commercial and military demand with a system that precisely delivers up to 25 pounds of payload, with minimal cost and labor required from the end user.
