Description
With the rise of the Pacific Rim economies, as well as the shifting global military tactics and strategies, it has become clear that Long Range Precision Fires munitions for extended range artillery is of relevance to the United States Armed Forces. In response to the DoD Army SBIR Phase topic A20-017, “Harvesting Thermal Energy for Novel Power Sources in Long Range Precision Fired Artillery”, the Innoveering team is proposing its novel Hybrid Thermoelectric Thermionic Thermal Energy Generator (HyTTEG) ring, implementing both thermoelectric and thermionic energy conversion technology to address and meet DoD requirements and leveraging MEMS micro-fabrication techniques to improve the performance power output from both the energy converters.
