Description

Chronic stress resulting from poor mental fitness undermines the efficacy of our men & women at arms and has a devastating affect on an individual’s physiological and social health. Suicide, alcoholism, and substance abuse continue to rise at alarming rates, undermining the efficacy and longevity of the warfighter. New tools are needed to improve and measure the mental fitness of the 21st Century Warrior. As a solution to this problem, Lumena Inc. has developed an immersive training environment for deploying mindfulness-based performance mindset training and stress interventions. The Infinity Cube is like a flight simulator for the mind that has the potential to rewrite stress patterns in the brain and entrain self-regulated states of clarity during high stress events. This sensorially- controlled environment combines sensory deprivation with targeted light and sound stimulation to automate the meditative process, broaden access to mindfulness techniques and accelerate the timeline for cultivating a performance mindset. By creating a dedicated space for performance mindset training, Lumena Inc. can help operatives efficiently optimize their cognitive performance and stress resiliency. The objective of this effort is to integrate bio-sensor tech (heart-rate, respiratory rate, & EEG) for robust biodata collection, reporting, & live biofeedback, creating a robust, empirically based tool for optimizing rapid nervous system shift from stress to rest states.
