Description

Nu-Trek will develop a radiation hardened Focal Plane Array (FPA) technology for Short Wave/Long Wave Infrared (SWIR/MWIR) space-based sensors for overhead surveillance missions. Nu-Trek will design fabricate and test the SWIR/MWIR detector. The unit cell design will support both 2-color and single-color operation, with band switching occurring on alternate frames or within a frame to maximize temporal simultaneity. The design will be radiation hardened for use in extended missions, with the hardening employing a combination of radiation hard by design (RHBD) and fabrication process techniques. The test chip will be scalable to larger formats for future growth. Approved for Public Release | 19-MDA-10270 (18 Nov 19)
