PacMar Technologies LLC — SBIR Phase II award from Department of Defense.
Phase II SBIR prototype / development signal
- Phase II is where Department of Defense funds deeper R&D after feasibility. Incumbents with Phase II history are serious competitors on adjacent topics.
- Use this award as past-performance context and to map customer organizations for STRATFI/TACFI-style transition planning.
- At $1,744,806, this is a large obligation for typical SBIR Phase sizing — worth reviewing for scope breadth and teaming opportunity.

Description
Current deep-sea profiling gliders and buoys are designed for maximum dive cycles with high fidelity sampling rates, which limits vertical dive and assent velocities. Designed for oceanographic measurement proficiency, affordability, and endurance leaves available profiling systems deficient in performance metrics of interest to Department of Defense specific missions. The family of existing profiling buoys and gliders do not support the desired dive cycles and ascent/descent rates for some envisioned applications with only one currently available float (MRV Systems ALAMO) sized to fit a standard A-size sonobuoy launch tube for easy aerial and undersea launch.
