Description
Similar to geospatial intelligence (GEOINT), we define lunaspatial intelligence (LUNINT) as the collection of intelligence to monitor human activity in cislunar space and on the lunar surface. The ability to track, tag, and locate objects in L1, L2, rectilinear orbits, halo orbits, distant retrograde orbits (DRO), frozen orbits at 27°, 50°, 76°, and 86°, and on all points of the lunar surface (Figure 1) is essential to ensure U.S. dominance in space. Rhea Space Activity and Saber Astronautics propose to develop the LUNINT Dashboard. The LUNINT Dashboard is a 3D graphics situational awareness software portal that derives precision coordinates (with error propagation) of objects in cislunar space and on the lunar surface. A solid LUNINT capability is required to ensure sustained USAF cislunar Space Operations in the 2020s and beyond.
